To know the roles of nations, its contributions to Humanity and Civilization, needed always big efforts, in order to build bridges between different cultures, and advance the cause of Humanity towards development and man’s giving.

The subject of man is considered today one of the world most important and difficult issues. Since research enters unlimited world, and it has undiscovered dimensions.

Indeed man, or certain concepts of his life defies scientific research and measurement, and the evolving unique self of the Human Being does not come into full agreement with every theory or postulate.

Man is considered small cosmos, in the light of realistic senses and material dimensions, but he is greater than that, in a way his compounded structure and complexity is similar to infinite Universe which man lives in one of its orbits.

Man is a center for continuous activity, he struggles to attain the level, and goals achieved by others, to serve humanity in pioneering work. This force which arises from man is seen by Civilization Studies as the (actual) reason behind creation of Civilization.

In the light great hopes for the future of man, the project of I am Human was created.

In the midst of this hope, we live always, and what connects us with man is loyalty to Humanity in unbroken and unlimited way.

This project is following man through himself, and his Civilization, directing his eyes to the horizons of his intellect, his choice, and his freedom.

A philosopher was asked by one of his students how it was possible to carry out his duty towards the dead? His answer was when we learn how to fulfill it towards those who are alive.

And thus we are, we cannot fulfill our duty towards any thing until and -only- when we achieve that firstly towards man.

This project is not a poem tells the story of man’s achievements and repeats his accomplishments but an attempt to unveil man’s essence.

In fact such a great project demands added and un-ceased efforts. Therefore, there are certain responsibilities on the shoulders of those who can contribute to this project, which calls upon them to participate in advancing the cause of man and his future.

We must recognize this fact fully. Hence on its basis depends every thing we hope to achieve for mankind in terms of progress and advancement.

Because the human being is the most gifted of all creatures in this universe therefore, with passing of time the calls of the reformers were raised, to save mankind.

I am Human discusses valuing, honoring the human being and taking care of him in order to obtain a good living for him away from any sort of evil and aggression. The project also discusses protecting the human being against various maladies such as poverty, ignorance, physical and psychological ones. It also discusses violence against the human being and prohibits attacking him.

The project reviews the human civilizations dialogue and the future horizons, as there are human values and ideals where nobody disagrees on the importance of establishing them firmly in the human society. Hence justice, mercy, equality and respecting the right of other human beings of having a good life, are natural characteristics for the human society, and the issue of civilizations' dialogue concerning those definitions that would remove any obstacle that might stop the process of the human dialogue. The project protects the rights of women, and calls for applying the international conventions and pledges that protects the rights of women. Our project represents a modest and serious contribution, to save the humanity against oppression and torturing. The project also tries to remove from the Arab mind the painful image drawn by attacking Western media which so offending to Arabs and redefine it to the West in turn, whose libraries are full of works about the Arab human being as primitive and ignorant, and describing his religion of being a religion for mythical miracles and stressing the important role of colonialism in developing the Arab human being and releasing him from his ignorance, backwardness.

At the end of the nineteenth century, the image of the Arab in the western civilization was very dark and gloomy, as represented by the colonial countries which dominated the Arab world, and the orientalists and painters who came along with the colonial countries and played a significant role in distorting the image of the Arabs, as they found their goal in the poor and primitive Arab villager ignoring the role of the Arab-Islamic civilization in building the human civilization.

Zionism also exploits this image and employed all its abilities to maintain and distort the image of the Arab human being by misleading media and marketing the aggressive and terrorist image of the Arab human being which aims to say terrorism originates from the Arab world.

In the western media, the Arab image is portrayed as a man who refuses peace and calls for war ignoring the facts of history and international realities which must be accepted, i.e. the Arab is the extremist human being who rejects the human dialogue.

Human beings do not hate each other by birth, our attitude towards each other and our judgments on events and the position we adopt towards them is decided by the information we get from our immediate environment, including the media bombarding us day and night with its information. We have briefly mentioned some sources that brought distortion and offences against the Arab and Islam. We have also noticed how they work together for the sake of defaming the Arabs and Islam. Therefore, the undeniable truth is that our battle with the West was not balanced from its beginning as the foreign media represents wealth, knowledge and power which are the components of the Western media due to its imperial influence.

The development of fundamentalist movements and the aggression they show against the Western mass media enhanced the attacks on Islam as a religion that calls for hatred, stoning adulteresses, cutting the stealer's hand, whipping people publicly, restricting divorce to men only, preferring him in heritage, allowing him to marry four women and forcing wives to cover their face with veils and so forth…

In countries where women became equal to men and have even more "rights" than men, with people whose life is based on hardly limited understanding of unlimited boundaries of human's “freedom”.

No one disproves or resists this purposed offense …rather; the Arab world had been mere spectator unable to take part, while watching the Western media distorting the image of Arab personality.

In accordance with the image of Islam and Arab in the West, the, Sep. 11th 2001 attacks provoked a campaign of hatred and drew a faint image of a whole nation; suspicions are chasing Arab wherever they are.

Thousands of weekly and monthly magazines had been issued entitled "Al-Quran and violence". "Islam and sword”, "The Islamic terrorism"….etc.

Posters of provocative magazines' covers were hanged on the advertisements' fronts in streets and metro stations aiming at distorting the image of Arab and Muslims, and emphasizing that Islam produces nothing but terrorism.

Consequently, the idea of "I am human" institution is to contribute in changing the negative image of Arabs which offends their thought, history, civilization and humanity.
Our institution was established to resist the Western ideological campaign and media efforts seeking to eliminate the Arab personality, and to present our religion, culture and civilization to the other civilizations and cultures.

It is an ideological independent non-governmental and non- profitable institution emerged from the Arab institute for Research and Strategic Studies. It will comprise scholars and thinkers believing in the institute's mission and objectives, and others interested in cultures and civilizations' dialogue.
Guided by the Efforts of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Ben Hamad Al- Thani, Prince of Qatar, may God protect him, in serving Arab and Islamic cause.

Therefore, the Arab Institute for Research and Strategic Studies has engaged itself in preparing informative studies of Islam and the Islamic civilization, which will be published at this website in Arabic, English, and other languages.

The project of "I am Human" seeks to find supporters for this project, believing in its objectives to contribute in financing it, and to encourage thinkers and researchers to provide the institute with their research aiming at publishing knowledge, identifying Arab Islamic civilization, stressing Arabs and Muslims' role in the human civilization, and exposing their true identity under the shadows of the new world order.
